Disaster Preparedness

Checklist

As a part of our ongoing practice and to be prepared in case of an emergency we are providing the following information and emergency checklist.  With your help we should be able to ease concerns and eliminate potential hazards should you be unable to reach our facility.

The following checklist of items will be the responsibility of each parent to provide for their child enrolled in our program:

  1. 3-day supply of nonperishable food (including canned food items with tab openings, snacks, and infant formula)
  2. 3-day supply of water
  3. 3-day supply of diapers, wipes, diaper cream
  4. Small blanket and comforting toy

Please place items in large ziploc storage bags with your child's name clearly labeled. Water should also be labled but does not need to be in ziploc.  Use as many large ziploc as necessary.
We will separate into storage bins and store at our facility.  We will return unused items when your child graduates.

Additional Items

We have received an outpouring of support for most of the 'extra' supplies needed in case of an emergency, however, we are still in need of additional supplies.

The following items would be considered a donation to our program and would not be returned.  A charitable donation reciept will be provided using our non-profit charitable status Josiah Rich Ministries.

Needed for Humboldt Center:

1. Air matressess and pump

2. Flashlights and batteries

3. Emergency blankets

4. Crank radio

Both centers:

  1. Trash bags (approx. 13 gal)
  2. Misc. emergency tools
  3. Any other items that may be helpful

Thank you for your attention as we continue to stay prepared!
